The production team of the Fibich Complete Orchestral Works Project

The Naxos company has picked for the Fibich Project a team from ArcoDiva – a company with wide and well-tested experience. The team is led by the notable musicologist and record producer Doc PhDr Jiří Štilec, CSc. The sound engineer is Václav Roubal who worked for the Czech Radio and for Supraphon for many years and since 1998 has been working for ArcoDiva. This leading ‘maestro of sound’ with over a thousand recordings to his credit has worked with such legendary artists as Charles Mackerras, Serge Baudo, Václav Neumann, Libor Pešek, Zdeněk Košler, Josef Suk and Zuzana Růžičková. The recordings are all being made at the studios of the Czech National Symphonic Orchestra while the final mix and mastering is the work of the ArcoDiva studios. The most modern technology 24 Bit, 96 Khz is being used for the recordings.

Co-operation with The Zdeněk Fibich Society and the Czech Museum of Music has made possible a thorough study of manuscripts and other materials linked to Zdeněk Fibich’s compositions.

The expert guarantor of the Fibich Complete Orchestral Works project is the Chair of The Zdeněk Fibich Society, PhDr Věra Šustíková.
